Account & Data Deletion
1. About This Page
This page explains how to request deletion of your account and personal data associated with the English Notion mobile application, published by Zekara App on Google Play.
You can request either full deletion of your account and all associated data, or partial deletion of specific data while keeping your account.
2. How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your account and/or data, follow these steps:
- Send an email to zekaraapp@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request – English Notion".
- In the message, include the email address you used to sign in with Google inside the app, so we can locate your account.
- State whether you want full deletion (account + all data) or partial deletion (specify which data, e.g. synced cards or purchase records only).
- We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying your request.
If you never signed in with Google, your learning data is stored only locally on your device. In that case, uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes all of it, and no server-side data exists for us to delete.
3. What Data Is Deleted
Upon a full deletion request, we permanently delete all personal data linked to your account from our servers, including:
- Account information: your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile picture URL received from Google Sign-In.
- Learning data: flashcards, decks, and study progress you synced to our servers.
- Purchase records: subscription and in-app purchase validation records stored on our servers.
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. After deletion you will lose your synced progress and any content tied to your account.
4. What Data May Be Retained
After deletion, we do not retain your personal account data. Limited exceptions:
- Aggregated / anonymized analytics that can no longer be linked to you personally may be retained for product-improvement statistics.
- Records required by law (for example, transaction records needed for tax or accounting obligations) may be retained for the minimum period required, in isolated storage, and then deleted.
- Backup archives may hold residual copies for a short period until routine backup rotation permanently overwrites them (no later than 90 days).
